Our History

Better Covenant Ministries is a non-denominational, multi-racial church. We are a church for all people that believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and who have a desire to follow God’s teachings. Our motto is – “From the Lord’s Table to Your Kitchen Table. ”We believe that the Word of God should move beyond the walls of the church and a have a dynamic impact in the home. Pastor Prude and Lady Valerie Prude received a call from God to go forth and build families on the Word of God. In 2008, they launched Better Covenant Ministries in their home located in Montgomery, AL. Answering the call of God, they began to have Sunday service in their home with two other families and prayer service in one of the family’s local business after hours.

On November 23, 2008, BCM met in its first official location, a small 800 square feet room, located at 1270 Greenbriar Place on Perry Hill Road. BCM remained faithful over the blessings God had provided. As the ministry began to grow, God sent other faithful members to join BCM. Today, Better Covenant Ministries is located at 4050 Fairground Road, Montgomery, AL 36110. Our current location is a beautiful 17,000 square feet building equipped with a sanctuary that seats over 100 people, a nursery and children’s church, a fellowship hall, and several classrooms. We are truly humbled by the many blessings God has placed on this ministry and will continue to remain faithful and true to the call God has placed on Better Covenant Ministries.

Better Covenant Ministries exists to glorify God by making disciples that love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul and might. To establish His covenant, so that the world may believe God sent His Son, Jesus Christ.

To establish, train, and enlarge a caring body of spirit- filled believers that will:

Glorify the Lord Jesus Christ in everything they do
Advance the Kingdom of God
Be a redemptive influence in the world around them
Prepare the next generation to do the same
Be actively engaged in:
- Ministering to the Lord through praise, worship, and stewardship of tithes and talents.
- Ministering to each other through fellowship, guidance, and service.
- Ministering to the world through evangelism, benevolence, and acts of service.
